Dunki explores the social issue of illegal immigration, depicting the Indianized version of donkey flight, a risky method for crossing international borders secretly. The film tells the heartwarming story of four friends on a journey to foreign shores.
Facing tough challenger at the box office from Prabhas-starrer Salaar, released on December 22, Dunki is striving to maintain its success. Salaar, a pan-India action film, grossed Rs 557 crore in its first eleven days across various languages.
