Sharad Pawar, a key leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), predicted that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, part of the INDIA bloc, will win 225 out of 288 seats in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. This prediction was made after the MVA’s strong performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where they won 30 of the 48 seats in Maharashtra, signaling a significant shift in voter sentiment against the ruling alliance.
