A 30-year-old woman says that a rich man named Sajjan Jindal raped her after promising to marry her. This man is the head of a big company called JSW Group. They met a few years ago at a cricket match in Dubai, became friends, and the man started liking her.
The woman, who lives in Mumbai, claims that the assault happened on January 23 this year in the JSW Group headquarters. She went to the police on February 16, and they filed a report on December 13. The charges include rape, outraging modesty of a woman, and criminal intimidation.
Sajjan Jindal, the industrialist, says the accusations are false and baseless. He promises to cooperate with the investigation and asks for privacy for his family.
The woman says she first met Jindal at a cricket match in Dubai and exchanged phone numbers. They met in a hotel and a mansion, and she went on a car ride with him before the alleged assault. According to the report, Jindal has been avoiding her since then.
